Why We Made This Book

This cookbook started with one question: What if we could bring the bakery home? Not just the recipes—but the rhythm, the warmth, the feeling of pulling something beautiful from the oven and sharing it with people you love. Lia has spent years building a bakery that feels personal, intentional, and inviting. Now, we're bottling that up and putting it on your kitchen counter. This book is for anyone who finds joy in the everyday magic of craft baking—whether it’s your first biscuit or your hundredth sourdough.


How We Made It

We made this the way we bake: slow, hands-on, and from scratch. Every recipe was tested in the Made. by lia kitchen, refined through early-morning bakes and late-night tweaks, and styled and shot entirely in-house by our small but mighty team. Lia wrote and baked every recipe herself, and Dawson captured each crumb and moment behind the scenes. From layout to print, we partnered with a local publishing company; Reedy Press brought a ton of heart and expertise to the table. We also had the incredible support of Fleischmann’s® Yeast, a longtime staple in our baking pantry and now a proud sponsor of this book. We’re so grateful to have them along for the journey.
